Get to know us

Our names are Mandi & Dakota photographer + farmer

Hi! We are Amanda (Mandi) and Dakota, wedding photography duo and a couple who love to capture moments. We have been photographing weddings for over 10 years combined. We shoot film-inspired photography focusing on natural light and natural candid posing. We focus on clear direction and encouragement, flattering angles, and framing that makes use of backgrounds. Clients and friends describe us as personable, reliable and flexible

Amanda has been riding horses since she was 5 and has a BA in biology + business. She loves the outdoors and animals. Dakota grew up on 100 acres with his brother, parents, and grandparents. He loves IPAs and soccer! They have 2 dogs named Willow and Kamron, as well as a 6 year old son and newborn daughter.

When it comes to our story, it's pretty 21st-century. Dakota and I met on the stereotypical swipe-right or left dating site. But, once we started talking, we quickly met and have been inseparable.

Dakota slowly began assisting at weddings and developed into the world's best second shooter. He gets along great with the guys, and everyone is comfortable around him.

just a few of my favorite things

Growing up, I thought I would be a doctor or lawyer—I attended Cumberland Valley High School, dreaming of attending college on an athletic softball scholarship. Instead, I majored in business and biology in college because I wanted a career that would allow me to do something good for the world. During my time in school, I also played lacrosse!

But it wasn't until after college that I discovered photography—it changed everything for me. When you're behind a camera lens, you learn how to see people differently—and capture moments in life that can never be recreated. If you think about it, there are so many firsts and lasts on wedding days, ceremonies, dances, and toasts; it's beautiful!

I wasn't always an awesome photographer
